There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there successfully.  Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the "secrets" and tricks to living a good life.  I share tips in every issue of my weekly newsletter

If you know some good tips, please send them to me via email. I hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.

Tips for Week of February 13, 2003

THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:

  • It's nice to have someone to love on Valentine's Day. Don't take your Sweetheart for granted!

  • Some movies just HAVE to be seen on the "Big Screen" ("Chicago"!), but you shouldn't clap at the end no matter how much you want to.

  • Grass doesn't grow under trees not because of shade, but because the tree is drinking all the water. (Harvey Cotton, Huntsville Botanical Garden).

  • If you're tired of waiting in line at the Medical Mall for blood work, you should try the quiet lab at Whitesport Center on the third floor.

  • You can get a bunch of fresh daisies year round at Bishops Flowers for $5 plus tax.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • There are over 1500 pages on the About Huntsville site. If you find a broken link, please let me know.

  • I've uploaded 61 new restaurant reviews this past week to the website.
