There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there
successfully. Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the
"secrets" and tricks to living a good life. I share tips in
every issue of my free weekly
email newsletter.
If you know some good tips,
please send them to me via email. I
hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.
Tips for Week of February 24,
2005
THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:
-
The
new Judge Crater's Restaurant will open the first week in March on
Southside Square downtown Huntsville.
-
Will
Alabama do it again on "American
Idol"? Rocker, Bo Bice, is from the Birmingham area and
in the men's finals.
-
Good
news: On February 17th, The New York
Times bought About.com
for $410 million. The New York Times Company also owns WHNT-TV,
Channel 19 in Huntsville and three Alabama newspapers: The
Gadsden Times, TimesDaily
in Florence, and The Tuscaloosa
News.
-
The
three Alabama contestants on "Survivor:
Palau" are Ibrehem Rahman, 27, a Birmingham waiter; Bobby
Jon Drinkard, 27, a waiter and model from Troy, and James Miller,
33, a steelworker who lives in Mobile.
-
Watch
Feb. 26 at 9 pm as 15 finalists head to Alabama to braise, bake, broil, and
battle for $100,000 in the Food
