Tips, Tricks and Secrets to Living in
Huntsville
|
 |
|
There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there
successfully. Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the
"secrets" and tricks to living a good life. I share tips in
every issue of my weekly
newsletter.
If you know some good tips,
please send them to me via email. I
hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.
Tips for Week of April 1,
2004
THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:
-
Garden Cove Produce
& Health Store on Meridian Street offers a 10% discount the first Sunday
of every month from 12-5 p.m. and the third Thursday, from 1-7 p.m. (note:
mornings hours not included).
-
Aunt
Eunice's Restaurant is slated to become a historic museum under the
supervision of EarlyWorks. If you would like to help with the costs of
moving her memborbilia to the historic Huntsville Depot location, you can
make a donation at any north Alabama Colonial Bank.
-
Now that it's
springtime, we can expect three different "winters" every week or
two: Dogwood Winter, Black Locust Winter, and Blackberry Winter. These are
cold waves that come when these trees and plants are first blooming.
