There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there successfully.  Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the "secrets" and tricks to living a good life.  I share tips in every issue of my weekly newsletter

If you know some good tips, please send them to me via email. I hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.

Tips for Week of May 6, 2004

THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:

  • The National Association of Letter Carriers will collect can goods & non-perishable food items this Saturday, May 8 when they deliver your mail. Donations go to the Food Bank of North Alabama.

  • Starting May 11, local McDonald's Restaurants will be offering Adult Happy Meals, consisting of a Premium Salad and bottled water or beverage of choice. Your "prize" will be a free pedometer!

  • For all you art lovers, I now have info on exhibits at the Birmingham Museum of Art and the Frist Center in Nashville in the Events Calendar.

  • The Aviation Weather Center is part of the National Weather Service and provides detailed and up-to-date weather conditions nationwide.
