There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there successfully.  Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the "secrets" and tricks to living a good life.  I share tips in every issue of my weekly newsletter

If you know some good tips, please send them to me via email. I hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.

Tips for Week of May 8, 2003

THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:

  • There was an earthquake in Alabama similar to the one that hit last week, a few weeks before the major earthquake that hit Charleston, SC in the late 1800's? Read about it and more on this interesting earthquake site: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/recenteqs/

  • The Huntsville Chamber of Commerce, located at 225 Church Street, has extra copies of the Huntsville phone books, both BellSouth and the Yellow Book. Stop by and get one for every phone in your home.

  • Starting in May, on the first & third Saturdays of the month, you can stop by the Huntsville Botanical Garden and get mulch for your gardens. There is no charge but donations are accepted.

  • Home Depot is building a new site on South Parkway in the Haysland Square Shopping Center where the old K-Mart used to be.
