There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there successfully.  Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the "secrets" and tricks to living a good life.  I share tips in every issue of my weekly newsletter

If you know some good tips, please send them to me via email. I hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.

Tips for Week of May 20, 2004

THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:

  • Grow Alabama is a statewide organization of farms dedicated to providing high quality chemical-free vegetables to Alabama. Check out their website for information on getting fresh produce delivered in the Huntsville area weekly all year round.

  • Freecycle provides individuals and non-profits an electronic forum to "recycle" unwanted items. One person's trash can truly be another's treasure! One rule: everything posted must be free. The email group for Huntsville can be found here: Huntsville Freecycle.

  • Time to enjoy the great outdoors. Burritt on the Mountain has four different hiking trails on it. In fact, one leads to the big cross on Monte Sano.

  • Quote of the week: "Live so that when your children think of fairness, caring and integrity, they think of you."
