There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there
successfully. Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the
"secrets" and tricks to living a good life. I share tips in
every issue of my weekly
newsletter.
If you know some good tips,
please send them to me via email. I
hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.
Tips for Week of July 22,
2004
THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:
-
Alabama
Roadhouse now has Singles Night Out every Thursday evening with live
music and no cover charge for ladies.
-
A
recent study conducted by the University of Alabama at Huntsville reports
that more than 139,000 jobs in Alabama are currently tied to the
aviation and aerospace industry.
-
Looking
for help with computer lessons, network or software/hardware problems but
don't want to lug your computer into the shop? You might want to try The
Computer Doctor "We Make House Calls" at 679-4997.
-
During
the Martha Pullen School of Art Fashion going on this week through
Sunday, you are invited to come by their retail store in the Von Braun
Center. The store will be closed during for lunch 11:45 to 1 p.m.
-
McDonalds
now has a 30-second limit for their drive-through window. The catch: the
timing doesn't start until you get to the pick-up window--so they can still
hold you hostage in your car while they take your order and your
money.
-
Want
to be on a new daytime reality show but don't how? Pat
Croce: Moving In is a new show with a motivational speaker looking
for families with problems.
