Tips, Tricks and Secrets to Living in

There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there
successfully. Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the
"secrets" and tricks to living a good life. I share tips in

THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:

The
Huntsville Times is switching to delivering the paper in the mornings
starting September 13.
-
Channel
19 announces a new weather system called ARMOR which stands for Advanced
Radar for Meteorological and Operational Research. This project is a
partnership between WHNT, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, the
National Weather Service, NASA, and the NSSTC. NewsChannel 19 is the
first TV station in the world to have this kind of technology.

Sci-Quest
will change their admission rates effective September 7, 2004. Super
Science Pass will be $11.75 for adults & $10.75 for children; General
Admission: Adults, $7; Children $6. For more information, call Sci-Quest at

The
entry deadline for the October 2nd Miss
Victory Halloween Preliminary Pageant--for infant girls through 14
and older-- is September 27th. There will be two more pageants this year in
the Huntsville/Madison area, including one for "Woman of the
Year"--any size, any age, any marital status.

A
new cookbook called Recipes from the Heart of Gurley has been
published by the Civic Group Citizens
for a Better Gurley as a Fundraiser. The book includes 650 recipes
and costs $15 plus $2.50 for postage & handling.
