Tips, Tricks and Secrets to Living in
Huntsville
|
 |
|
There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there
successfully. Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the
"secrets" and tricks to living a good life. I share tips in
every issue of my weekly
newsletter.
If you know some good tips,
please send them to me via email. I
hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.
Tips for Week of September 23,
2004
THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:
-
Almost
all subjects chosen to appear on U.S. stamps and postal stationery are
suggested by the public. If you have an idea for a stamp, contact the Citizens'
Stamp Advisory Committee.
-
Huntsville
Botanical Garden has won the "Shining Example" Award from the
Southeast Tourism Society as Travel
Attraction of the Year.
-
The
Kitty Kat Twirlers in Gurley are selling Huntsville area coupon
books to raise money to compete in Orlando, Fla. The coupon books are
$10 each and have over $1400 worth of savings. There are coupons for casual
dining, fast food, entertainment, recreation, retail and services. For more
information, contact Wendy at 520-8726 or email whargrove@abphlaw.com
-
For
factual information on those internet chain letters and questionable
declarations you receive from friends on a daily basis, visit www.snopes.com
or www.breakthechain.org
before you pass it on. Both provide several sources as to whether or not the
information is accurate.
