THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:

Some very famous people and their children have gone through Space Camp or Aviation Challenge at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center: 

• Chelsea Clinton (1993) Karena Gore (1985--Al Gore's daughter) Amy Carter and Lance Bass of N'Sync. 

• Children of Denzel Washington, Pierce Brosnan, Barbara Mandrell, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Evander Holyfield, Don Johnson, Melanie Griffith. 

• Kris Kristofferson & Charlize Theron each attended Parent/Child Space Camp with their children. 

• Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen produced "The Case of the Space Camp Mission" here. 

• Ron Howard brought cast--including Tom Hanks--and crew to Space Camp for research on "Apollo 13." 

• "Space Camp" (the movie) was filmed at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center here in Huntsville.
