Huntsville
|
 |
|
There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there
successfully. Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the
"secrets" and tricks to living a good life. I share tips in
every issue of my free weekly
email newsletter.
If you know some good tips,
please send them to me via email. I
hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.
Tips for Week of October 28,
2004
THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:
-
This
Saturday is the night we get to turn our clocks BACK--I always love gaining
that extra hour each year!
-
The
Southeaster Raptor Center from Auburn University will present a
"Birds of Prey Lecture & Display" at Wild Birds Unlimited at
11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.
-
The
Girl Scouts are recycling cell phones. Phones may be dropped off at
the Girl Scout office at 4704 Whitesburg Dr. or call 883-1020 to arrange
pick up.
-
Breakfast
Fundraiser for Madison Mad Dawgs (travel) Baseball Team held
Saturday, October 30th at Applebee's in Madison. Cost: $5/adults;
$3/children under 12.
-
Tickets
are now on sale for Hello, Dolly! which will feature costumes from
the Broadway show starring Carol Channing. Champagne and Juice will
be served opening night, November 12, accompanied by a jewelry show. Tickets
for the show and for the jewelry raffle (two hundred chances to win a piece
of jewelry retailing for $10,000.00) are being sold at Ars
Nova , at Shaver's Books, and at Cluxton's Jewelers in Athens.
