THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:

  • An interactive Murder-Mystery Cocktail Party for the rich and famous will be held at the Clay House Museum on November 20. Pre-purchased tickets and reservations are required. For details, check the Events Calendar or call Robin Brewer at 256-325-1018 . 

  • If you need quality entertainment for a wedding, company party or other event, then you should check out Windham Entertainment or call 256-489-8080. 

  • If you're interested in freebies, bargains, shopping secrets and yard sales, then you might want to join Yahoo Groups Underground Huntsville email list. Every Friday afternoon, a printable, interactive list is posted on their website of all the yard sales in Huntsville and the surrounding area by zip code. 

  • This Saturday, November 6th, Unclaimed Baggage will feature their 23rd Annual Winter and Ski Event in Scottsboro, Alabama. Get there early for Free Starbucks Coffee & Krispy Kreme donuts! 

  • Interior Marketplace on Hwy 431 near Hampton Cove has new shops...Bennett's Clothing, Serendipity (Antiques & gifts), Frippery (English antiques & accessories), Pimentos (gifts & interiors), and the expansion of Magnolia Interiors and Gifts

  • The Renaissance Theatre is taking one of the funniest shows of 2004 on the road: Pageant will present two performances at the Princess Theater in Decatur on January 21 & 22, 2005, utilizing the original cast and crew. Advance ticket orders can be obtained at the antique store at 1216 Meridian Street or by calling 536-3117, 11 am to 6 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
