There are a lot of things to learn about a city in order to live there successfully.  Sometimes it takes years to find out some of the "secrets" and tricks to living a good life.  I share tips in every issue of my weekly newsletter

If you know some good tips, please send them to me via email. I hope you find something useful to you here and feel more at home in Huntsville.

Tips for Week of December 18, 2003

THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:

  • Lily Flagg Road construction is finished and the road is now open to thru traffic.

  • The Elf Shelf--on corner of Whitesburg & Governors Drive--is a great place for children's gifts. They are resumably priced and have many unique items. They have a storewide sale in May of every year and an annual doll sale in June.

  • One of the best places in Huntsville for Macaroni & Cheese, believe it or not, is Huntsville Hospital Cafeteria! (

  • Some of the shops in the new strip mall in front of South Parkway's Super Wal-Mart are open: Dollar Tree, Kato's, Hibbett Sports and a jewelry store.
