My husband and I, wanting some good Italian food and a special dining experience, went to Villa Fiore on February 14, 2003.  Our reservation was early, 5:00 p.m.  Due to an accident on the Parkway, we were 15 minutes late arriving, and that's when the trouble began.  First they acted like they didn't want to seat us, then they seated us in a really unpleasant area near the bar (even though the main dining area was practically empty).  It was such an unpleasant place to sit, and the noise from the blender was so loud, that we asked to be seated somewhere else.  The place we were moved to was somewhat better, but still not in the main dining area.  It was in an area with a plastic table and uncomfortable plastic chairs.  The service was bad, and there was no Italian food on the menu ("special" menu for Valentine's Day).  The menu choices were all Continental.  The food was OK, but certainly not worth what we paid.  Our visit to this restaurant was a waste of money.  The place is a lot of hype, and certainly doesn't live up to its reputation.  I expected better treatment, better service, and certainly some Italian food from Villa Fiore.  I got none of these things.  My husband and I will never go back to this restaurant.
