The Huntsville/Madison County Botanical Garden is unveiling their latest project:  The Arbor.  The CBER building has been remodeled to accommodate a growing demand for rental space and exhibits.

Nancy Brock headed up the team that transformed the large room into an indoor area that gives the feel and appearance of an outdoor garden setting.  She worked with Bill Nance, a local artist, to design a setting that could be a backdrop for floral displays and an elegant setting for weddings and parties.

Tomasz Wrzesien worked with Nancy for ten months painting murals on the walls, ceiling and floor.  Harvey and Beverly Stuart designed and custom built the ironwork around the entrance gates and exit door of The Arbor.

They also built the steel structure for the moss arbor, and the arbors and lattice that frame the room.  Harvey and Beverly also turned urns into a working fountain.

The library and entrance hall have a surprising welcoming look as guests enter The Arbor.  A full service kitchen is hidden by a facade of the outside of a home.  This is a great addition to the Huntsville area for parties, weddings, and other large gatherings.

There will be a Grand Opening of The Arbor for members on Saturday, February 2, from 12 noon until 3 p.m.  A public open house with free admission will be held Sunday, February 3, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

The Arbor is now available for rentals.  For more available dates and prices, contact Ann Burke, Facility Rental Director, at the Huntsville Botanical Garden at 256-430-3572 x 237.
