Huntsville Museum of Art presents an exquisite display of The Lamps of Tiffany. This 45 piece collection are highlights of the Neustadt Collection including Tiffany table lamps, chandeliers and windows.
Dr. Egon Neustadt (1899-1984) was born in Austria and came to America in the late 1920's. His esteemed collection began with the purchase of a small Tiffany desk lamp in 1935. He is considered one of the earliest serious enthusiasts of Tiffany lamps. His collection contains more than 400 lamps, windows and accessories, as well as a substantial amount of unmounted Tiffany glass collected between 1935 and 1970. This collection became the core of the Neustadt Museum of Tiffany Art.
