"Hurray for Howlywood" took place Friday evening, February 28, 2003 and featured area dogs and their favorite humans.  The event was the 13th annual fundraiser for the Greater Huntsville Humane Society.

The 2003 ball, chaired by Randy Roper and Yvonne Hawkins, was a tribute to Ludie G. Richard, a great humanitarian who in 1986 provided 100% of the funding necessary for the new shelter for the Greater Huntsville Humane Society.
