Every year the Von Braun Forum in Huntsville, Alabama sponsors an "event" to honor Dr. Wernher von Braun's contributions to our community. This year marked the 15th anniversary of the Von Braun Forum honoring the first director of the Marshall Space Flight Center. Von Braun was the leader of the Saturn V rocket team that first took man to the moon.
Huntsville is one of the most technically-centered communities in the United States. We gained this distinction because of one man, Dr. Wernher von Braun. To share our vast local scientific knowledge, the Marshall Space Flight Center chose this year to celebrate the Von Braun Forum differently than in the past. This year instead of one program with a great speaker, several events were planned to share the excitement of science with children. We were all challenged to see beyond the ordinary, combine things in a different way, and see the "unseen majesty of science."

On Saturday, April 6th, the public was invited to attend a free show at the Von Braun Center's South Hall demonstrating what the excitement of science is all about. The finale of the Von Braun Forum was the "Unseen Majesty of Science" multimedia experience featuring live music from a 60-piece orchestra, images displayed to music across three large video screens, a light show and indoor pyrotechnics (fireworks).

Tereasa Washington, Director, Customer and Employee Relations Directorate at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center gave the welcome and introduced Don Phelps and Denise Agent from WAAY-TV to narrate the Video Retrospective of Wernher von Braun.
