The Huntsville Botanical Garden will present, A Tour of Gardens with a Personal Touch from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, June 15 and 16, 2002. Five area homes are featured on the Tour: two in Madison, and three in Huntsville.

Spend an enjoyable day wandering through five area gardens that have benefited from the love and flair of their owners! Highlights of the Tour include unique touches like a moss garden carpet at a quaint craftsman bungalow in Five Points that has become a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of Huntsville. On a wooded hillside lot on Rainbow Mountain, Madison, see magnificent water cascades and fountains that create a four-season woodland garden with sophisticated artistic accents.
Learn about the mysterious Harry and George, inhabitants of the Blossomwood garden, where entertaining for the whole family is taken to a new level. Picture yourself sitting by a beautifully landscaped pool, overlooking Lady Anne Lake in Madison. On Jones Valley Drive, the homeowners have made the very best of their limestone hillside lot by creating winding paths with secluded nooks where benches sit amongst thriving native plants. All of the gardens have perfect outdoor rooms for hours of perfect relaxation and entertaining at home. These beautiful gardens show what can be achieved with a vision, time and a green thumb!
Take a day off from errands and enjoy the labors of these area gardeners! On Saturday visitors may enjoy lunch in the Botanical Garden Tea Room as a half-way-house between the Huntsville and Madison locations.
Admission is by ticket
only and the gardens may be visited in any order on either Saturday or Sunday
from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased either day at any of the
