Grab the kids and head for the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Not only are the butterflies flitting about, but there are eight creative treehouses positioned throughout the Garden for everyone to climb on, explore and try-out. Now through October 31st, you can be a kid again, if you dare, and inspect these little masterpieces.
The Garden Fairy This treehouse is positioned right outside the Garden's administration building. It was designed by Lori Bates, Jana Martin, Ginny Buie, Alyson Swann, Vickie Blackock, Hollie Goins and other employees of J. H. Partners Architecture & Interiors. This treehouse (pictured below at far left, top row) is built of wood, iron, stained glass and nylon banner material with integrated planters. It towers over a platform on which visitors can stand and experience scale, mass and proportions. The torso is formed by stained glass clerestory windows, which create an array of colors that dance and play when viewed from below.
