Hugh Dudley Recalls History of NARM

Hugh Dudley inside train...

Hugh Dudley sits in one of the cars the museum purchased an refurbished. This particular car used to run between New York City, Philadelphis and Boston. It is air-conditioned and restored to its original condition. It seats 60 people.

In the beginning, NARM used to run trips between Huntsville and Chattanooga, but in 1984, the track was discontinued and the trips stopped. I can only imagine how much fun it would be now if we could catch the train and spend a day in Chattanooga and then ride it home after visiting the Aquarium, shopping and eating out.
