Friends of Ferals is highlighting "Boots" as their Cat of the Week. Boots was born in July, 2005 and is a velvety black cat with white feet and markings. His fur is very soft and he has big round green eyes.

Boots is a sweet little boy. He was trapped at a private nursing home on Shields Road near Winchester Rd. The first time the fosters heard him late one night, he was screaming so loud, they didn't know what the sound was. They left food for him, but couldn't touch him for two weeks until they were able to trap him.

Boots was a terrified, thin little guy but he calmed down quickly and had obviously been a pet earlier in his sad life. Boots is still a talker and very playful. He enjoys helping with the sweeping and is a huge help chasing the broom. He gets along well with the other cats.

Boots is very healthy and has no problems, except he needs to be approached slowly as sudden and loud noises are still a little unsettling. But he is affectionate and very playful.

As with all Friend of Ferals cats for adoption, Boots has been neutered, and has had shots and tests. For more information, or to meet him, please contact his foster mom Sarah or foster dad Dan at slhdavis@earthlink.net or call home at 256-881-7794 or cell at 256-694-0813.
