Introducing Mopsy...

Mopsy Has Quite a Personality!

This week Huntsville Animal Services is featuring "Mopsy" as their Rabbit of the Week. Mopsy came to the shelter with his two friends, Flopsy and Pumpkin. Their owner lost her job and could not afford to keep us. Now they need to get a loving, indoor home.

Mopsy is a nine month old Dutch boy with unusual orange and white fur - it's gorgeous. He is a little shy, but when he gets to know you he has quite a personality. He likes to explore and play with toys, and he loves to rearrange the towels in his cage. They have to be just the way he wants them.

Mopsy seems to get along with Flopsy, so if you would like a pair of bunnies they would be perfect and would love to stay together. He also likes kids and dogs; we aren't sure about cats, though. Mopsy is just starting to figure out what his litter box is for and after he is neutered we think he will get better. So how about it? Wouldn't you like a handsome guy like this in your home?

Rabbits are wonderful pets. If you are interested in obtaining a rabbit for a family pet, please do some research prior to getting one. There is TONS of information online. We recommend the information from The House Rabbit Society (www.rabbit.org). Rabbits are indoor house pets and can be litterbox trained. They can live peacefully and happily with most dogs and cats with proper introductions. The $50 adoption fee for our bunnies covers their spay/neuter fees and also includes an adoption kit. This kit includes a litter box, food and water bowls, samples of litter, hay and pellets, an information packet, and even a toy!
