Introducing Lily...

Lily Is A Princess!

This week Huntsville Animal Services is featuring "Lily" as their Rabbit of the Week. Lily is a bit of a princess - but you will love having a little bit of royalty in your house! Lily is a Holland Lop/Silver Marten mix bunny with a great personality.

She really enjoys her toys and loves to be petted and loved on. As you can see from her photos she doesn't mind being held. Lily would like a loving permanent home with people who will enjoy her royal self.

Rabbits are wonderful pets. If you are interested in obtaining a rabbit for a family pet, please do some research prior to getting one. There is lots of information online. We recommend the information from The House Rabbit Society (www.rabbit.org) or EARS (www.alabamaEARs.org).

Rabbits are indoor house pets and can be litterbox trained. They can live peacefully and happily with most dogs and cats with proper introductions.

The $50 adoption fee for our bunnies covers their spay/neuter fees and also includes an adoption kit. This kit includes a litter box, food and water bowls, samples of litter, hay and pellets, an information packet, and even a toy.

Be sure and stop by soon at the Huntsville Animal Shelter on Triana Blvd. from 9 am to 5 pm on Monday-Friday or Saturday 9 am-3 pm to meet Lily or any of the other cats or dogs on Adoption Row. There is a large selection to chose from and all are anxiously awaiting a new home. For more information, call 883-3782.
