Persian Cat Seeks Home
Precious Wants to be Adopted

Precious Wants Her Own Home

This is seven-month old Precious. She is a purebred shaded silver Persian cat. Surely, she is a registered cat. She is actually show quality except that her lovely eyes are the wrong color. They are supposed to be green and not gold like they are. She is extremely sweet and playful and wants to be a lap cat. She tolerates other cats so would be great as an only cat, or she probably would settle in with others in no time.

Precious was turned in to Friends of Ferals by a nice man who found her as a stray in the Hampton Cove area. She had been hanging around his house several days and he felt sorry for her because it was very cold and it was pouring rain. She was very thin, dirty and looked as though someone had given her a haircut with hedge clippers. He had taken her to the emergency vet hospital the night before and was told that she healthy, five months old and not spayed.

After Friends of Ferals got her cleaned and settled, it became apparent that something was terribly wrong. After many trips to the vet and many tries, it was decided that she has Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS. The only treatment that is working for her is to feed Hill's ID cat food only. It is available dry and canned, but right now she will only eat the dry. She also has to have a 5mg prednisone tablet each and every day.
