Celtic Concert Series ... "The Mousetrap"...

Norton Auditorium, UNA Campus

October was certainly a whirlwind of activity in the Shoals. I enjoyed every minute. I was especially impressed with the Celtic concert featuring Jim Malcolm. This was the first concert in the Celtic Concert Series that I've been able to attend and also the first concert I've seen at the Keynote Room. The music was truly impressive and the sound quality in this venue completely surprised me. I really had a good time. The next Celtic Concert will be in March and you can bet I'll get my ticket early.

November in the Shoals is a bit calmer, but there are still plenty of fun activities. The first performance for the UNA Theatre Department season will be "The Mousetrap" on November 3-5 & 10-12. This is a classic Agatha Christie murder mystery. A group of strangers are stranded in a country manor guesthouse during a snowstorm. Drama unfolds as they are knocked off one by one and the hunt is on to find the murderer. This Agatha Christie classic is so popular in London that it has broken several records for its continuous theatrical run since it's opening in 1952. Curtain time is 7:30 pm for all performances. For further information call (256) 765-4247.
