There are many celebrated and special guests scheduled to appear at the gathering. There will be a group of six women who are the only living individuals that still speak a native language believed to be the oldest known language in the United States. These ladies range in age from 76 to 90 and hearing them share this language is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Storyteller Will Hill will perform and he's considered to be the best in the Indian Nation. There will also be performances from a Hoop dancer who recently entertained the Queen of England.

On Thursday September 8tha special viewing and reception will be held for L. David Eveningthunder, a Shoshone artist from Livingston, Texas. There will also be demonstrations of stickball, bow, tomahawk, and blowguns. There will be a display of an authentic 1820's Creek encampment, and the chance to sample traditional Indian foods.

This event is a wonderful educational opportunity for any young person and a chance for all age groups to truly become a part of history. A schedule of events is available on the web site: Oka Kapassa - Return to Coldwater.
