Alabama Renaissance Faire

The costume workshop enables everyone to have the fun of attending the Faire in period dress. Participants come with 3 yards of fabric and at the end of the 5-hour workshop they leave with a costume. The Renaissance Art competition gets up to 1200 entries. The Faire judges finally had to ask each school to choose only 10 entries to submit for the final competition. The Sonnet-writing contest receives up to 600 entries and the Times Daily newspaper publishes the winners each year.
