Spotlight on The Shoals - August 2005From Susann Elsass Spring Park Farmer's Market in TuscumbiaOur Shoals correspondent, Susann Elsass has a lot of exciting to share with us this month:
I've had a wonderful response to "Spotlight on the Shoals" and want to say thank you to all for being so supportive. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did at the WC Handy Festival and the Mamata Shankar Ballet performance. The month of August holds quite a variety of activities in the Shoals. The Spring Park Farmer's Market in Tuscumbia will continue throughout the month of August. This upscale Farmer's Market in scenic Spring Park features live music, a guest chef who will give cooking demonstrations, a variety of fresh produce and all kinds of other wonderful items like homemade peanut butter fudge, potted plants, soaps, lotions & scrubs, homemade pies, and much more. Spring Park features the spectacular Cold Water Falls, a fountain, turning water wheels, and there are even train rides and a carrousel for the kids and "kids at heart". The new Roller Coaster should be operational later this month. The market is held weekly on Thursday between 4pm and 7pm. More "Shoals News" on next page. More Huntsville Articles
