Spotlight on The Shoals - August 2005

The new First Friday's in Florence event will start on August the 5th. Join us between 5pm and 8pm in historic downtown Florence for art, music, shopping and fellowship. Stay downtown and have dinner at one of my favorite Florence restaurants, Ricatoni's Italian Grill and then head across the street to the Nolen Cole Gallery for more live music. If you prefer to relax outdoors try the deck at the beautiful new Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa. The hotel offers live music nightly in the hotel bar aptly named "Swampers" after the legendary Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section . The deck offers a spectacular view of the swimming pool and the wooded banks of the Tennessee River.
