One of the largest annual events to take place in the Shoals area is the Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride . The ride is always on the 3rd Saturday of September, which falls on September 17th this year.
September 20-26, 2005 plan to attend the North Alabama State Fair at the State Fairgrounds in Muscle Shoals. This is a good old-fashioned state fair with all the bells and whistles including mid-way rides, contests, exhibits, and entertainment. Look for arts and crafts displays & competitions, animal exhibits, a beauty pageant and a battle of the bands. Some special entertainment includes the Skin & Bones Comedy Circus, An Elephant Encounter, and the ultimate "gotta see" … Randall's Racing Pigs!
