The
Red Rock Corn Maze will open on September 23rd and remain open till October 31st. I had no idea of the popularity of these mazes until I started researching this story. There are actually people who travel around the country trying to see how many of these mazes they can complete. I guess I'm just out of the loop because I've never been through a corn maze before. It does sound like fun to follow trivia clues and try to find your way out of a maze. I guess the Red Rock maze will be my first. This 10-acre maze has a unique design and offers each person a chance to test his or her trivia knowledge at 15 numbered pumpkin markers. Trivia topics include sports, Alabama history, and general trivia. Correct answers will help send you in the right direction. The maze takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours to complete. Picnic and bathroom areas are available and the concession stand is stocked with drinks and snacks. Admission price of $6.00 includes the maze entry, a hayride, and a small pumpkin.
