Introducing George...

George is a big boy looking for an active family!

This week Huntsville Animal Services is featuring "George" as their Dog of the Week. George is a great Great Pyrenees puppy. He is only 4 months old and already the size of a small army. He will grow up to be about 100 pounds – so lots of room is needed for this baby!

George has some pretty cream spots on his back that blend beautifully in his white coat. He is, like many Great Pyrenees dogs, extremely outgoing, loves people, attention, and action.

This breed needs early obedience training, just to help them control their size later in life. They need an active family who will keep them busy and out of trouble. Great Pyrenees dogs make wonderful trail dogs and watch dogs – as they were designed to "guard the flock."

Does George sound like the dog you've been looking for? Be sure and stop by soon at the Huntsville Animal Shelter on Triana Blvd. and meet George or any of the other dogs or cats on Adoption Row. There is a large selection to chose from and all are anxiously awaiting a new home.
