Socks has just recovered from having heartworms. He's been treated and is doing great. He does have a flea allergy so he will have to stay on flea preventative to be sure he has no problem.
Socks would do well with older children. He seems to love being around older people, too. He does very well with other dogs also but we're not sure about cats.
