The Greyhound Group of Alabama is a new adoption group in the Huntsville area and is looking for interested people to volunteer to help with Meet & Greets as well as foster families. Our focus is to help educate people about these wonderful dogs and further adoptions of the retired racers. These are a few of the misconceptions people have about Greyhounds. In spite of the tremendous grassroots movement that began in the mid-1980s that brought the plight of the racing Greyhound to the public eye, the general public still doesn’t know a great deal about the breed.
