Huntsville Animal Services adoption fee for dogs is $93(cats, $82). That includes:

  • The love of your life (the pet)
  • 1st set of shots (annual vaccination for adults)
  • Rabies Vaccination & Tag
  • I.D. Tag
  • City License
  • Collar
  • Flea Medication (If necessary)
  • Heartworm Prevention Medication
  • 5# food (age & species specific)
  • Deworming for common intestinal parasites
  • Spay/Neuter surgery(no additional fee for this - it is mandatory)
  • Vet Exam
We are the largest (& nicest) shelter in north Alabama. We average an intake of 175 animals per week. We are very committed to the pets on our adoption row, holding them until they can find a new home. The only time we don't keep the pet until they get a new home is if they develop temperament issues or become very sick. We have a very high percentage of purebred dogs and lots of dogs under 40# (many under 30#). We always encourage people to stop in and see what we have!
