Robotics
This highly interactive exhibition will allow visitors to work with real robotic technology to find out what robots are, how they work and how they will change the future. Some exhibits focus on motion detection, super-hearing, quick reflexes and aid to the disabled, while others allow visitors to build and test their own simple robots or manipulate more complex automatons. Exhibit: Painting the Italian Landscape: Views from the Uffizi
From the world-renowned Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, this blockbuster exhibition of 40 original paintings showcases the golden age of the Italian Renaissance. And just in time for the holiday season, the world-famous Botticelli painting, Adoration of the Magi, will be right here at the Huntsville Museum of Art. Admission charged. . Exhibit: Gershwin to Gillespie: Portraits in American Music
A salute to 20th century American music comes to life through 50 portraits of some of America’s greatest artists and composers in music, including George Gershwin, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin and more. Arab Christmas in the Park
Donations accepted. Arab City Park-More than 1,500,000 twinkling lights illuminate the park and transform it into a winter wonderland. Entertainment is provided on the weekends. It’s a Small World After All
Admission charged. Tues.-Sat. 10 am-4 pm & Sun. Noon-4 pm at Burritt on the Mountain, 3101 Burritt Drive. Children will delight in the tiny displays of homes, stores & touring vehicles in our latest exhibit "The World in Miniature." Rooms hand-made by Kathy McCoy & Ann Miller, members of the Huntsville Organization of Miniature Enthusiasts (HOME), will be on display. Some will replicate historic rooms while others are from the imagination of their creator are scaled to the tiniest detail. For more information, call (256) 536-2882.
