Theatre Huntsville Presents “Fences”
Admission charged. Fri.-Sat. 7:30 pm & Sun. 2 pm at Von Braun Center Playhouse, 700 Monroe Street. This drama tells the story of Troy Maxson, former star of the Negro baseball leagues. Maxon sees the world as composed mostly of fences which enclose him. Bitter that he was excluded from major league baseball during his prime, Maxson refuses to let his son try his luck at professional sports. Dog Days In The Garden
Admission charged. 9 am-5 pm at Huntsville Botanical Garden, 4747 Bob Wallace.
Attention all Pooch Parents. Most of the Garden will be a "Leash Zone," but for those bouncy bounders there will be a leash-free zone at the back of the Garden by the columns. Of course, owners are asked to bring bags to clean up after their pets. For more info, call (256) 830-4447.
