Galaxy of Lights Drive-Through
Admission charged. 5:30-9 pm at Huntsville Botanical Garden, 4747 Bob Wallace Avenue. The largest holiday light show in the Tennessee Valley. A family oriented drive-through display featuring holiday themes, cartoon characters & fantasy creations. For more information, call (256) 830-4447.

Helpline Turkey Trot
Admission charged. Register 7 am, Race 8 am. 5K run/walk & Tiny Tot Turkey Trot. All proceeds benefit HELPline , Madison County's only 24-hour Telephone Crisis Center. University of Alabama-Huntsville, Spragins Hall. For more information, call (256) 716-4052.

Thanksgiving Day Hike
Free. 9 am. Before giving thanks over turkey & dressing, families are invited to enjoy the blessings of nature on the Huntsville Land Trust hiking trails. This is a four mile moderate hike. Pratt Avenue to Bankhead Parkway, cross Tollgate Road. The parking lot is 1/2 mile further on the right. Meet at The Land Trust Pavilion (walk past the bollards) at the end of the parking lot. Annual 5k Turkey Trot Run

Festival of Trees (Athens) - Nov 24-25, Athens Festival of Trees 256-232-0743. Donnell House-Each room of the 1845 home features a different Christmas theme reflecting the varied artistic talents of local volunteers and enhancing the beautiful antiques featured throughout the structure. 1-5 p.m.

Christmas in the Park (Arab) - Nov 24-Dec 31, Arab Christmas in the Park 256-586-8128. www.arabcity.org. Donations accepted. Arab City Park-More than 1,500,000 twinkling lights illuminate the park and transform it into a winter wonderland. Entertainment is provided on the weekends. Refreshments available. Drop off letters to Santa and have them answered by the Jolly Ole' Elf.

Santa's Village
Admission charged. 5-9 pm at Alabama Constitution Village, 109 Gates Avenue. Young & old alike will delight in visiting Santa & Mrs. Claus' home, the reindeer in their stable & elves in their toy shop working busily to create special memories for you & your family in the Village Santa calls home. Broadway Theater League Presents: "Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy"
