Wild Wild Weather Day
Free with General Admission to Sci-Quest. 10 am -2 p.m. at Sci-Quest Science Center, 102-D Wynn Drive Huntsville. Weather takes center stage when WHNT Meteorologist Dan Satterfield visits Sci-Quest to look at clouds, climate change and severe weather as he presents an in-depth look at weather. There will be Virtual Vortex showings with Dan along with hands-on weather activities, a display of historical weather instruments; and, of course, a Dan Satterfield look-a-like contest! Exhibit: Paintings From The Reign Of Victoria: The Royal Holloway Collection
Admission charged. Tues. 10 am-5 pm, Thurs. 10 am-8 pm & Sun. 1-5 pm at Huntsville Museum of Art, 300 Church Street Huntsville. This superb exhibition of Victorian paintings includes canvases never before seen outside of England. Some of the paintings are massive, weighing up to 1,000 lbs & up to seven feet in height. The stories behind them range from the marriage markets of Babylonia to the lost crew of Sir John Franklin's doomed expedition in search of the Northwest Passage. For more info, call (256) 535-3450.

Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk For Arthritis
Admission charged. Registration opens at 1:30 p.m. Begins at 6313 Midtowne Lane Huntsville. The Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis is a fun-filled holiday themed running/walking event where hundreds of people tie jingle bells to their shoes and take to the streets while simultaneously raising money to support arthritis research, community programs and services and advocacy initiatives that help improve the lives of people with arthritis. UAH Men's Chorale & Women's Choir

Galaxy Of Lights Walk The Dog Nights
Admission charged. 5:30-7:30 pm at Huntsville Botanical Garden, 4747 Bob Wallace Avenue Huntsville. Bring your dog (on a leash) to the Galaxy of Lights for a brisk walk through this winter wonderland of twinkling lights. For more info, call (256) 830-4447.

Burritt's Holiday Mansion Exhibit: Deck The Halls
Admission charged. Tues.-Sat. 10 am-4 pm & Sun. Noon-4 pm at Burritt on the Mountain, 3101 Burritt Drive Huntsville. Step into a magical world of holiday delight, as the already beautiful Burritt Mansion is decked out for the holidays by local designers & decorators. It will amaze young & old alike. Thanksgiving Day Hike
Free. 9:00 am at Land Trust of Huntsville.
Before giving thanks over turkey & dressing today, families are invited to enjoy the blessings of nature on the Huntsville Land Trust hiking trails. Join us on this 4 mile moderate hike. Take Pratt Avenue to Bankhead Parkway, cross Tollgate Road. The parking lot is 1/2 mile further on the right. Meet at the information kiosk. For more info, call (256) 534-5263.

Turkey Trot 5K Run
