Turkey Trot 5k Run
Admission charged. Registration at 7 am, race at 8 am. Tiny Tots at 9 am at UAH campus, Spraggins Hall. All proceeds go to benefit HELPline, Madison County's only 24-hour Telephone Crisis Center. For more information, call (256) 716-4052.

Santa's Village
Admission charged. 5-9 pm at Alabama Constitution Village, 109 Gates Avenue. Young & old alike will delight in visiting Santa & Mrs. Claus' home, the reindeer in their stable & elves in their toy shop working busily to create special memories for you & your family in the village Santa calls home. November 28-29
Quarter Midget Racing
Free. 9 am at Memorial Parkway south, right onto Airport Road (Airport turns into Johnson Road), left onto East Schrimsher Lane, follow the road until the end & enter the gates. The "Turkey Gobbler Race" plays host to quarter midget racers from all over the country. Children ages 5-16 will compete in scaled down race cars on an oval track that is approximately 1/20th of a mile. For more information, call (256) 656-1902.

Play: Hansel & Gretel
Admission charged. 2 & 7 pm at Ars Nova School of the Arts Performance Hall, 7908-C Charlotte Drive. With children's activities after each performance. For more information, call (256) 883-1105.

Santa Train
Admission for train ride at 10, 11 am. North Alabama Railroad Museum, 694 Chase Road. Ride with Santa, gifts for the children & candy canes for everyone. Take the museum's free walking tour, see historic railroad equipment & the Chase Depot. The train ride is approximately 35 minutes. It operates rain or shine. Volunteers will answer the phones 8 am-1 pm on Wed. & Sat. Otherwise you will get a recorded message. For more information, call (256) 851-6276.

Breakfast With Kris Kringle
Admission charged. 9 am-10:30 am at Burritt on the Mountain Trillium Room, 3101 Burritt Drive. Kick off the holiday season with breakfast with Kris Kringle. Children can sit on Kris' lap & tell him their secret Christmas wishes. For more information, call (256) 536-2882.

Burritt Museum Christmas Forest
Admission charged. Sat. 10 am-4 pm & Sun. Noon-4 pm at Burritt on the Mountain, 3101 Burritt Drive. Enjoy the beauty of gorgeous designer Christmas trees on display through the holiday season. For more information, call (256) 536-2882.
