21. April 7-9, 2011: Lee HS's "The Drowsy Chaperone"

Admission charged.  Fri.-Sat. 7:30 PM & Sun. 2:30 PM at Lee High School, 606 Forrest Circle Huntsville. This homage to American musicals of the jazz age is a tale about a pampered Broadway starlet who wants to give up show business to get married, her producer who sets out to sabotage the nuptials, her chaperone, the debonair groom, the dizzy chorine, the Latin lover & a pair of gangsters who double as pastry chefs. 22. April 8-9, 2011: “Smoke on the Falls"- BBQ Festival/Cook-Off (Gadsden)

23. April 8-10, 2011: Mountain Stories (Companion Piece To Appalachian Witches)

Admission charged. Fri.-Sat. 8 PM & Sun. 2:30 PM at Renaissance Theatre, 1214 Meridian Street Huntsville. Enjoy a continuation of the life and times of three Appalachian mountain women of one family’s blood line, Mountain Stories follows the family tradition of healing. The production includes music, superstitions, history and faith as found in the Appalachian mountain region. 24. April 8-10, 2011: "Oliver!"

Theatre Randolph presents Lionel Bart's classic musical tale of an orphan boy who dares to ask "for more."
April 8 & 9 @ 7:30 p.m. and April 9 & 10 @ 2:30 p.m. at Randolph Center for the Arts, 4915 Garth Road.
256-799-6100.  Reserved tickets are $10 with special $5 general admission seating the day of the show.
The cast includes 60 students from both campuses in grades 1-12.

25. April 9, 2011: "Stars & Stripes Tribute to the Military" Ballet

26. April 9, 2011: Dixie Derby Girls vs. Alamo City & Burn City

Admission charged. 5 PM & 7 PM at VBC South Hall, 700 Monroe Street, Huntsville. Enjoy Roller Derby.

27. April 9, 2011: Monte Sano's Historic Old Railroad Bed Trail

No admission charged. 10 am. History comes alive as David Young guides you on the same path as the steam locomotive that traveled from the Huntsville Depot to the Monte Sano Hotel from 1888 until 1896. Take Pratt to Five Points to Bankhead Parkway. Go up the mountain past Tollgate Road. Go 1/2 mile further to The Land Trust parking lot & past the bollards to the Education Pavillion. 28. April 9-10, 2011: Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival (Moulton)
