Free. 7 am at Brahan Spring Park, 3770 Ivy Avenue. 3 Mile Run / 6 Mile Bike / 400 meter Swim. Race starts at the South End of the Old Huntsville Airport. Race ends at the Huntsville Natatorium. Admission charged. 7:30 pm at Monte Sano State Park Planetarium, beside the Country Grocery Store & Camp Ground Huntsville. Johannes Kepler, Astronomer/Mathematician, did ground-breaking work on the orbits of planests during the early 17th century. This program will feature some history & some cutting edge science. The new planetarium star projector will be in use on these nights. We are all very excited to see how much nicer the planetarium sky will appear above the new equipment.. Admission charged. Sun. 1-4 PM, Tues.-Wed. 11 AM-4 PM, Thurs. 11 AM-8 PM, Fri.-Sat. 11 AM-4 PM, Closed Mon. at Huntsville Museum of Art, 300 Church Street South Huntsville. Between 1941 & 1945, American women were making quilts in record numbers while their sons, husbands, brothers & loved ones were on the battlefront. This exhibition features approximately 20 WWII-era quilts & tops from the private collection of Sue Reich & the ephemera to anchor them historically in time, including photographs, V mail, ration books, parachute samples, magazines & newspaper quilting patterns.
