1. February 1-August 28, 2011: Exhibit--The Works of Maria Howard Weeden

Admission charged. Tues.-Sat. 10 AM-4 PM, Sun. 12 PM-4 PM at Burritt on the Mountain Mansion. After a five year hiatus, Burritt will once again display its collection of paintings, books and personal effects of Maria Howard Weeden. A local Huntsville artist in the late 19th century, Miss Weeden produced a vast amount of works in her 59 years and Burritt is proud to hold the largest publicly-owned collections of her works. The Works of Maria Howard Weeden will be exhibited throughout the Burritt Mansion. For more info, call (256) 536-2882.

2. Now thru Sept. 6, 2011: Point Mallard Aquatic Center (Decatur)

Fee for participants only. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. at Point Mallard Park--Aquatic Center with water features opened for the summer. For more info, call 800-524-6181.

3. May 21-September 5, 2011: USSRC “A T-Rex Named Sue” & “Be the Dinosaur”

Admission charged. USSRC, One Tranquility Base Huntsville. Presented by the Chicago Field Museum, highligting a full-sized cast of a 42-foot long Tyrannaosaurus rex. "Be the Dinosaur" takes visitors back 65 million years using advanced computer simulations. For more info, call(256) 837-3400.

4. Now thru September 30, 2011: Treehouses With a Splash

The Huntsville Botanical Garden, Bob Wallace Ave, Huntsville. Treehouses debut on Saturday, April 2nd with splash features opening on Saturday, April 30th. Treehouses with a Splash runs through the end of September. This summer, you can climb, swing, splash and play your way through the Garden - where there’s always something growing on. 5. May 7-September 30, 2011: Butterfly House & Nature Center

Admission charged. Mon.-Sat. 9 AM-6 PM & Sun. Noon-6 PM at Huntsville Botanical Garden, 4747 Bob Wallace Avenue Huntsville. This education center is home to the nation's largest open-air butterfly house. Over 2,000 butterflies grace this 9,000 square foot structure. The nature center is also home to an assortment of critters including snakes, quail, hummingbirds, frogs, fish & turtles. For more info, call (256) 830-4447.

6. Now thru November 30, 2011: Harmony Park Safari

10 AM-Sundown at 431 Cloud's Huntsville. Admission charged. Enjoy drive-through observation & feeding of free ranging rare & endangered animals. Your self-guided tour also includes reptiles & amphibians from around the world, as well as various species of fowl. For more info, call (877) 726-4625.

7. Now Thru December 19, 2011: Flying Monkey's Artist

Free. noon- 4 p.m. Huntsville Artist Market at Flying Monkey at Lowe Mill, 2211 Seminole Dr. Free indoor artist booths/spaces for the sales and promotion of local artwork. For more information, call 256-479-7863.

8. June 30-July 2 2011: IMP's "1776"

Admission charged.  Thurs 7:30 PM Fri. 7:30 PM & 2:30 PM at Lee High School, 606 Forest Circle Huntsville.  This musical reenactment of the last days leading up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, presented by Independent Musical Productions, is a tribute to our founding fathers.  It will stir the patriotism in all of our hearts.  For more info, call (256) 337-9071.

9. July 1, 2011: City Lights & Stars Concert

Admission charged.  7:30 pm at Burritt on the Mountain, 3101 Burritt Drive Huntsville.  Featuring "Classical Blues Cabaret.." Audience members are encouraged to dress casually, bring a blanket or lawn chair , picnic supper & enjoy a spectacular night-time view of the city.  For more info, call (256) 536-2882.

10. July 1, 2011: Concerts On the Dock
