61. June 18, 2011: Madison Summer Walking Tour

62. June 18, 2011: Run Through the Roses 10k

Admission charged to register for the race. 7 AM for 10K & 9 AM for 5K at Bob Jones High School, 650 Hughes Road Madison. This 10K Race starts & finishes at Bob Jones High School. The race course highlights Madison's signature plant, the "Radrazz Knock Out Rose." This will be a USATF sanctioned event. Participants will include serious competitors, casual athletes & local residents. Race day parking is available at Bob Jones High School main entrance. For more info, call (256) 682-5117.

66. June 19, 2011: Walking Tour--Civil War Bones at Maple Hill Cemetery

Admission charged. 5 pm at Maple Hill Cemetery. Park on Wells Avenue next to the cemetery Huntsville. Tour guides Rhonda Ford & Jacque Ford will share their extensive knowledge of Huntsville's past including the story about the Unknown Confederates whose original headstones mysteriously disappeared. 70. June 23, 2011: Civil War Plantation Tour

Admission charged.  Depart 10 AM, return 3 PM at Historic Huntsville Depot, 320 Church Street Huntsville.  Travel by motor coach past plantations such as Belle Manor, Cotton Hill, The Cedars, the home of Judge Horton of the Scottsboro Boys & the ruins of Druids' Grove.  Travel to Pleasant Hill plantation in Athens for English High Tea, complete with scones, sandwiches & sweets.
