12. March 2, 2013: Spring Into Summer Activities Fair

Free. 9 AM-5 PM at Sci-Quest, : 102-D Wynn Drive Huntsville. Sci-Quest is partnering with The Arts Council of Huntsville to bring you the second annual Spring into Summer Activities Fair! This event will provide parents with everything they need to know about local spring break and summer programs for children of all ages that focus on science, culture and the arts! Whether your children are looking for dance or film, theater or music, visual art or photography, history or science experiments, or maybe a little bit of everything, the Spring into Summer Activities Fair will help you find it. Participating organizations will be on-hand to answer questions, hand out materials, and introduce children to their programs. Admission charged. Children's activities 10 AM, Concert 11 AM at VBC Concert Hall, 700 Monroe Street Huntsville. And the pitch...it's a sharp pop fly to center stage! The conductor is the coach, the musicians are the players & the concert hall is the stadium in this concert which introduces the unique team effort of an orchestra & its 76 members. Presents a brand new musical based on the short sad life of America's greatest songwriter. He died a gentel but broken man who had never made much money from writing America's most popular songs of his day, some of which have remained our most popular, ever since. No admission charged. 2 pm. Join Lynne Weninegar for a fun tour of the beautiful wildflowers. Bring your camera & learn more about the stars of this Blossomwood trail. Take California to Hermitage Avenue, left onto Cleermont, the Wildflower Trailhead is at the end of the street. This is an easy, one hour walk with moderate incline.
