3. September 23-November 5, 2011: Distrubia Haunted Attraction

Admission charged. Thursdays & Sundays 7-10 pm; Fridays & Saturdays 7 pm-12 am (closed Monday-Wednesdays plus Thursday Sept. 22 & 29 and Oct. 6) at 1918 Memorial Parkway N Huntsville (next to WAFF Channel 48 TV). Order tickets online or get when you go.

4. August 21-November 7, 2011: "Blood Thread & Tears--WWII Quilts"

Admission charged.  Sun. 1-4 PM, Tues.-Wed. 11 AM-4 PM, Thurs. 11 AM-8 PM, Fri.-Sat. 11 AM-4 PM, Closed Mon. at Huntsville Museum of Art, 300 Church Street South Huntsville.  Between 1941 & 1945, American women were making quilts in record numbers while their sons, husbands, brothers & loved ones were on the battlefront. This exhibition features approximately 20 WWII-era quilts & tops from the private collection of Sue Reich & the ephemera to anchor them historically in time, including photographs, V mail, ration books, parachute samples, magazines & newspaper quilting patterns. 5. October 21, 2011-May 2012: Von Braun Exhibit--His American Journey

Admission charged. 9 am-5 pm at US Space & Rocket Center, One Tranquility Base Huntsville. This exhibit commemorates the 100th birthday of Wernher von Barun. It includes the majority of his papers, books, drawings, journals & memorabilia donated by his family. Many of these items have never been on public display. For more info, call : (800) 637-7223.

6. November 3, 2011: Adventures in Brass Concert

Admission charged. 7:30 pm at Huntsville High School Auditorium, 2304 Billie Watkins Avenue Huntsville. The "Brass Band of Huntsville" is proud to celebrate the traditional brass band sound & experience with the local community.

7. November 4-5, 2011: Disney's Aladdin Jr. (Ars Nova)

Admission charged. Fri. 7 PM & Sat. 10 AM, 2 & 6 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 607 Airport Road Huntsville. Presented by Ars Nova, Children & adults alike will be captivated by this wonderful & familiar tale. For more info, call (256) 883-1105.

8. Novermber 4-5, 2011: UAH Chargers Hockey vs. Ohio State

9. November 4-6, 2011: Under the Christmas Tree

Admission charged. Fri.-Sat. 10 AM-7 PM & Sun. Noon-5 PM at VBC South Hall, 700 Monroe Street Huntsville. A holiday market featuring vendors with unique gifts, accessories & decorations. Early Bird Special is Fri., 8 AM-10 AM. For more info, call (256) 881-1701.

10. November 5, 2011: Train Excursion Fall Color Special

Admission charged for train rides. 10 am & 1 pm at North Alabama Railroad Museum, 694 Chase Road Huntsville. The excursions last approximately 1 hour. Reservations are suggested but walk-on's are taken on a space available basis. For more info, call (256) 851-6276.
