The Guys in The Taylor Hicks Band

The guys have known Taylor Hicks for years and before joining his band, had their own seasoned careers in music. Besides Taylor Hicks, two other band members hail from Alabama. Zippy Dieterich considers Huntsville his home. He graduated from Huntsville High School in 1990, where he was an Alabama State Champ in Diving and also played percussion in the school band. Zippy (real name is "Ronnie" but no one knows him by that) is the drummer and does some vocals for the group. He is the newest member of the Taylor Hicks Band. He played drums for the University of Alabama and met Brian Less in rock bands in the music scenes in Tuscaloosa. Zippy was a sound engineer for Mitch Jones, among others, who introduced him to Taylor Hicks.

Mitch Jones is the other band member from Alabama--Enterprise, Alabama, home of the world famous Boll Weevil Monument.(now it will be famous for Mitch!) Mitch plays bass but doesn't sing. He was on the Under the Radar CD by Taylor Hicks.

Brian Less is from Memphis and since his nickname has always been "Little Memphis," the group came up with the name Little Memphis Blues Orchestra while brainstorming for a new name. Brian plays piano and organ for the group and shares in vocals for the group. Brian is the only member of the band who is married. Brian also worked on Taylor's Under the Radar CD.
