All of the band members currently live in Birmingham, although not together. They know Taylor Hicks better than anyone else and don't mind answering endless questions about him. They describe Taylor as a "spontaneous and hilarious" person who likes sports and good food. When asked what the joke was that one of them had mentioned on "American Idol" that Taylor told that took a month for him to "get it," they responded that he is witty and clever and they weren't talking about any joke in particular because he's always saying something clever.
The guys emphasized that when you see Taylor on TV, you're seeing the real Taylor. "He's just being himself...no one is up and dancing all the time. He does what he wants to do. He listens to the judges, but then he decides what he wants to do," they emphasize. "No one is telling him what to do or making song selections for him. He wanted to do the 'Country Roads' song as a tribute to the West Virginia coalminers who recently lost their lives in the mining accident."
