I ran up to try and see him, but couldn't. Then, at 7:00, we got to go around the corner and to our spot by the stage. Taylor was outside practicing still and I saw him...and almost died. It was far away but I could not believe I was really seeing him.
To make a long story short, throughout the time waiting for him and Katerine McPhee (first runner-up in the American Idol competition) to perform, the two of them walked around, talked to people, and had their pictures taken. I wasn't close enough to talk yet, but was close enough to get some good pictures. (and I really thought I noticed him keep looking at my shirt and sign).
People moved enough so we got a spot right up against the railing. We were definitely on TV because some people in front of us, got a phone call saying, "Are you on the today show?!" So I knew I was on, too.
